They found refuge in Bloomsburg, a place they had come to trust as safe and welcoming. At the time, their children were in elementary school and adjusting to a new life. Now grown and living independently, their children have moved on, and the couple is focused on rebuilding their own lives—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Despite continued challenges, including a battle with cancer, the wife is determined to finish her degree in criminal justice. Her past has given her a powerful sense of purpose and a desire to help others overcome trauma. Her husband is actively seeking employment—especially in auto detailing or any available work—to support their fresh start.
Thanks to the support of AGAPE and other local partners, the couple is now moving into their own home—a huge step toward stability and healing. For the first time in years, they are experiencing the comfort of a safe space and the hope of a new beginning.
Together, they are leaning on their faith and trusting God to guide them forward. With the love of a caring community behind them, they are truly beginning a new chapter—safe, supported, and filled with hope.
