AGAPE Gears Up for Raise the Region Fundraiser to Support Vital Community Programs
BLOOMSBURG, PA — AGAPE, a local nonprofit dedicated to serving the needs of individuals in Northumberland, Montour, and Columbia Counties, is thrilled to announce its participation in this year’s Raise the Region fundraiser. Organized by the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania (FCFP), Raise the Region is a 30-hour online giving campaign designed to raise crucial funds for area nonprofits.
As AGAPE Love Fron Above To Our Community celebrates its 15th year of service to the community, it remains committed to its mission of providing essential support and resources. This year’s fundraiser will directly benefit several of AGAPE’s vital programs, including:
- WIN (Women in Need): Providing hygiene products for women in partnership with Shape of Justice, promoting fairness, equity, dignity, and respect. These products are distributed through local schools, community agencies, and AGAPE’s front desk.
- Happy Tails: Supporting pet owners with pet food distribution to defray costs and ensure companionship remains accessible. This program, in partnership with Rescue Bank, distributes pet food once a month during Fresh Express (on Thursdays from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.).
- TOGO Food Backpacks 4 Kidz: Offering weekend backpacks filled with healthy, easy-to-prepare meals for elementary-aged students in food-insecure households, now serving seven local school districts.
- Life Essentials: Providing comprehensive support, including educational materials, counseling, referral services, and financial assistance for various needs such as heating, rent, utilities, medical expenses, and more.

AGAPE, Love From Above To Our Community is a non-denominational faith-based mission serving Columbia, Montour, and Northumberland Counties in Pennsylvania. They provide essential items like food, clothing, and household items, financial assistance, and even shelter when the temperatures are 32 degrees or below, through the Code Blue program.
